I have a lot of research for the purchase of this TV in January, and now that I had with him a few months, that has changed my life. This is not just about how to upgrade to flat panel makes the difference is how well this Samsung plasma TV together.

I bought this Samsung PN58A550 58 Plasma HDTV for my new home to replace my old 32 inch Sharp LCD and all I can say is” The Best”. This TV offers incredible picture quality, excellent contrast ratio and no motion blur when watching sports or other fast moving shows. Not only the picture is excellent, but the sound is not too bad, but I did buy a surround sound system. The installation is easy and has many ports on the back of it including 3 HDMI, two component inputs and composite and optical audio jack, so I use the surround sound system. You do not have enough HDMI ports that can connect my PS3, Xbox 360, and any HDMI cable, which is something my father has no television.

The viewing angle of this TV is as close as possible to 180 degrees as you can imagine: I can easily see the image of another room when I look at the edge of the door. Glare is an important consideration for us, and so far the only time we have a problem with it is if in the light directly on the TV. In other words, if you have a lamp behind you, you see that reflected, but if you have a lamp on the one hand, the light does not wash through the area and make it difficult to see. I am also very familiar with the technology for flat panel close air bleed color, motion blur or other problems in the refresh rate, and I have not seen that the fault of the TV (see example, a home video of these things on the screen ).

The color and black and that of plasma with a burning in the TV has a pixel changes in the function to be minimized in the fires, my other big concern. They say that this is a concern especially in the first 200 hours, so be careful for now.

The delivery was quick and efficient and the delivery company was asked to call me at work 30 minutes before they go to my house and they did, so I do not have to sit about half of the day.

I needed a new TV and spent two full days for the investigation of plasma and LCD’s to know they were the best brands, best prices, best features. I looked all over CNET, Amazon and Best Buy. By far the Samsung PN50A550 me a radical for my ball. I have 2 and I have money, thanks to the Amazon 30 days to deal with the prices.

Television is very elegant, with the foot. There are few links on the back of the TV, so you hide the cables that work well. The power, input, menu and volume buttons on the front of the TV remeniscent of the buttons on the front of the PS3. Very thin and delicate touch. All, all a very attractive package.

Samsung PN50A550 is excellent. In investigating the purchase, the brightness of the screen to black and sometimes as negative. My package is in my living room, with 2 large windows to the front and side of the package. Glare is not a problem until the sun is low enough at night to shine directly on the set, if they pull the curtains closed. As for the rest of the day, or light from windows or the light bulb in the ceiling for each problem. The glare was my opinion, exaggerated.

So you have it. You can use this model for peanuts now, and I recommend you do if you are still on the fence. It is an excellent plasma TV.
